a) earth. the salt of the earth are kind, honest and reliable people.
b) heart. to have a heart of gold means to be generous.
c) temper. if you have a quick temper it means you get angry easily.
d) right. his heart is in the right place means that he's good and kind, even if he doesn't seem to be that way.
e) bite. his bark is worse than his bite means that he threatens a lot, but his actions are relatively harmless.
f) sunshine. if you're a ray of sunshine it means you make other people happy.
