More gapped sentences worth 3 medals!!

It is very difficult to fully ........ certain pieces of jazz music until you've heard them a good few times.

Although I'm always ready to lend a hand, Marta never really seems to ........ the things I do for her.

Given the market for decorative antiques, I'd say that the value of the beautiful vase is set to ........ considerably in the next few years.

ONE WORD FILLS ALL BLANKS!!!
How much longer until you can't resist the temptation, guys?

Hi,

didn't anybody answer this one?
I believe the answer is APPRECIATE.
right?

cheers,

Bia

My dear ever so loyal friend, Bia,

Thanks for not leaving this challenge unanswered, but would it be too much to ask of you to give it another try? The verb to appreciate collocates only in the first two sentences... but look at the brighter side: You've finally been faced with a challenge worthy of your skill and talent!

Wow!Thank you so much for what you said. Can you imagine how happy I got? :-)))) And you can be sure I will not abandon the blog!!! I keep studying.

Anyway, I really don't know which word could fit those sentences then...
I still believe APPRECIATE collocates in the last sentence as well. One of the possible meanings for this verb is to increase in value and price, especially over time. I can say for example that 'the dollar appreciated against most currencies last year', or 'houses in this neighborhood have appreciated by 10%".
I've seen this verb being used with this meaning in a past paper or in Flo-Joe word bank - I can't remember where. I just remember I didn't answer correctly then, so I looked it up in a dictionary.

if it's not that, I don't know. Can I have a hint?

Cheers,

Bia

You're dead right, Bia!

After further investigation, I realized the only possible answer is "appreciate". I don't know what I was on when I thought the right answer was "appraise"...
Thank God you were around before I got eeg in my face!! Close call!

Your medals are on their way!
I see a grade A or B on its way as well!!! LOL
