I loved the exercise! It even made me stop doing the past paper I was working on...

2) swept (or knocked? I've heard both expressions. Which is the correct one?)
3) (no idea - the words I've thought about don't seem to make sense here)

Well, since you did not answer them all, I am going to let you think for a little while longer. In the meantime I think it's fair to consider other contributors' suggestions. Anyhow, you will receive a medal for each correct answer you came up with before anyone else did.

Well, Bia, I am adding 14 medals to the records of the hall of medalists. The expression in #3 is " making passes at" .
